Through the use of scripting capabilities internal to the Siebel application software (Siebel eScript), data import routines that employ complex business logic are easily created and scheduled to run throughout the day.

We were able to accomplish this through the use of internal scripting (Siebel Business Services). Since the scripts reside in the Siebel database we are able to easily modify the import procedures when new data import rules arise without having to make any repository modifications. This allows us to make changes to the import procedures without any server downtime.".
